Choosing a Plastic Surgeon

So you've decided to move forward with a breast lift or breast augmentation. The next step is perhaps the most important - choose the right surgeon!


You will make many decisions about the course of its operation plasticsurgery. The most important of these decisions is choosing the right plastic surgeon. Finding a reputable surgeon you also confident his vision and parts of results are key.

If your located in the United States there is an organization (ASP - American Society of Plastic Surgeons) which will make the choice of the surgeon much easier. All regions around the world have similar organizations similar to the ASP. Contact your local association of plastic surgeons ensures success for the reasons outlined below.

The selection of a surgeon recognized by an association such as a surgeon member of the ASP ensures that you have selected a plastic surgeon:

* Has successfully completed five years of surgical training with a minimum of two years specializing in plastic surgery.

* Is proficient and experienced in all aspects of plastic surgery procedures including breast lifts, body (pictures tuck the tummy), face and reconstruction procedures.

* Works in fully accredited medical facilities.

* Follow a strict code of ethics.

* Experience the continuing medical education to stay current with developing procedures, including in patient safety innovations.

* It is fully certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or in the case of Canada-based plastic surgeons The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Surgeons Member of the ASP should be your first point of contact for your travel cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.
