Cosmetic Facelifts, Plastic Surgery and Low Self-Esteem - A Dangerous Combination

Why get cosmetic surgery is not good for poor self-esteem

The surgical cosmetic enhancement is a procedure that not only brings about profound effects on a person's physical appearance, but keyed up issues and potential sensations deep in the psyche. Most candidates for plastic surgery are men and women who are emotionally whole and satisfied with their overall appearance and life. These individuals may see one or two ways you can tweak, but have no negative or hateful overbearingly opinions of themselves. Such men and women are acceptable candidates for plastic surgery.


First, there are people who have emotional and psychological issues relating deeply rooted their identity and appearance. A person may have been abused and that had certain characteristics which made them ugly. A sense of self-hate against such specifications is grown, and the person, never straightening out these emotional wounds, you may feel that having cosmetic surgery that fixed the problem and makes it beautiful.

Other individuals, for many different reasons, may feel various parts of their bodies have various deformities that require correction plastic surgery. Thus, choosing instead to attack their bodies to handle the problem with a plug appropriate.

Some of the celebrity family reported outbreak emotionally and physically abused by their father as children. (The father denies this.) Consequently, many children undergo cosmetic surgery when they were older, altering its characteristics to downplay or eliminate their physical resemblance to his abusive father.

They can be treated only by learning to love, accepting as you are, and entrusting him to change for the better. Chances are, you will feel a temporary high, but then feel bad. This can lead to an unhealthy spiral of having more surgeries, severe depression or have an increased risk of life-threatening behavior.

Take an honest assessment of their reasons for having cosmetic surgery. If you can honestly say that you are trying to completely change who you are as a person, then you need to cancel your surgery and talk to a professional to help you fix your issues before you go through with having rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty surgery, the cosmetic surgery or other cosmetic plastic surgery.
